Yesterday, I went to get a haircut. A call came in from one of my Indian friends, Ravi. He called and told us he wanted to see my roommate Mayowa, my homies Ebenezer, Mike, and I (Muyi) urgently. He needed our help. We came back to the room, joked a bit and got to serious business. Ravi said that he wanted us to help him out on the Indian Student Association on the Homecoming Parade. We went over the basics last night. This morning we did our practice in the cold. Damn it was cold!! In the whole Indian Parade thing, Ravi was the only Indian amongst us. The Indian students didn't even show up for the parade :( Today, we went for the parade and just had fun. Obviously other people were looking at us like "*what the fuck*, Why are these Africans going with parading with the Indians???" We knew people laughed at us and shit, but we didn't do this for the people. The reason we went for the parade was because of Ravi. Ravi has been friends with me for a while and he is the President of Indian Student Association. He asked for our help and we offered. We paraded and the crowd loved the contrast in diversity and unity in our parade. A parade of only 5 people won the Homecoming 2010. Other people had like 20 people in their tam or something like that. Yes Boss! we keep balling!! Now what's the moral of this? Never do things do please people, do things to help people. Do things to help yourself. Never mind what people say about you. Believe in yourself. Don't be recognized with the popular losers. Thanks Ravi Gondaliya, Mayowa Balogun, Michael Gallegos, Muyi Nehikhare. We helped the Indian Student Association win the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Homecoming Parade 2010. Actually, the Indian theme helped us win it. I'm taking my share of the money :) BTW our Theme was *Unity in Space*
