Taylor Swift.............., I still don't get why she's that popular....lol I'm not a hater, I'm just kidding, I'm really happy for her obviously and that's why i am blogging this atm. Anyways the point is Taylor's album "Speak Now" debuted at no 1 with 1,047000 copies in it's first week, woooooow, it's been long since we saw such high sales in the first week. In actuality, we have not seen such huge sales since 50 cent's "massacre" album that sold 1,141,000 in it's first week, and Lil wayne carter III album, Taylor's album is the second highest selling albim since 05 though. Exactly, that's how important she is, in fact Eminem has not even sold that much in a long time, and the dude is the best rapper alive: it's all thanks to Kanye West though, if he didn't collect that microphone from Taylor at the VMA's a year ago, all these would not have happened, cause clearly most of her fans became her fans out of pity IN MY OPINION and most people didn't even know her before that incident also IN MY OPINION.....lol.
The album was also number two on the digital album charts with about 288,000 copies. It's the 8th best selling album of the year(Already???? it just came out), Eminem is number 1 in that list and obviously she will not catch up because the year is almost over, but again we cannot say because this year has been full of surprises. Also the gap between her album and the No 2 album on the charts was about 958,000. what??? whoever is No 2(which is Sugarland btw) should be dissapointed...lol. This has been the second higest margin in history with number 1 being when Eminem encore album gave Diddy's album a 1,200,000 sales gap in 2002(wow that's harsh).
